Adrean Cottle, National Certified Counselor and Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, has been observing the epidemic of mental health issues and illnesses among African Americans for more than twenty years. Despite the growing crisis, many still avoid seeking therapy or handle their issues in unhealthy or destructive ways because they fear its stigma and judgment, which have long been perpetuated by the African-American community. As a result, Cottle decided to start her own practice.
